NORWAY – Rita Buker Powers, 71, of South Paris passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 24, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Wilton, on Dec. 20, 1936, the daughter of Harold and Doris Buker. She grew up in Wilton and got her education at the Maine School for the Deaf in Portland. She always enjoyed being outside, fishing and camping. She loved to cook and enjoyed many gatherings with friends and family. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, Krystal Powers, Gary Goodman and Jayden Powers. She loved her boston terrier dogs.
She will be greatly missed by her sons, Dale Powers and Danielle and Gary Powers and Deanna; two grandchildren, Krystal Powers and Jayden Powers; sisters, Marylin Howard and husband, Gerald, Gwen Buker and husband, Walter, Glennys Wilkins and husband, Bernal, Phyllis Smith, Sheila Leo and husband, Roger and Linda MacKissock and husband, Robert; brothers, Clayton Buker and wife, Annie, and Richard Buker and wife, Lynn.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, George Powers; a grandson, Gary Goodman; a sister, Harriet; and brothers, Harold, Vinton and Thurlow.
