The seventh graders at Philip W. Sugg Middle School in Lisbon are working together to raise money needed for the annual trip to Camp Kieve in March. Students held a car wash, and with additional matching contributions from parents, raised approximately $700, according to Mrs. Laurie Deraspe, seventh grade Language Arts and Social Studies teacher at PWS. “The car wash was a lot of hard work,” shared Mrs. Deraspe. Students also held a candy sale, pizza’s night and a spaghetti supper to benefit the Camp Kieve project. Watch for future editions of the Advocate for more events planned for this school year!
