AUBURN – A memorial Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Edith L. Ames was celebrated Wednesday at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. Barbara Barth officiating. During the service the Rev. Stan Tanner, a member of the Wednesday morning group at St. Michael’s read the prayers of the people. John Whitmore served as organist, and Shelly Keniston of the Pine Tree Society served as a sign language linguist of the spoken word at church, and also with the Rev. Barth when she recited committal prayers at Pine Grove Cemetery in Falmouth. The Rev. Barth concluded the services at the cemetery reciting a poem to Edith written by Edith’s daughter, Leslie Brunetti. Arrangements by Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Lewiston.
