NEW GLOUCESTER – David Dow and Edward “Ted” Dilworth announce that Miles C. Hunt of New Gloucester has joined their firm, Dow’s Law Office, P.A., with offices at 266 Main Street in Norway and 16 Parkway in Bethel.

Hunt is a graduate of Greely High School, Dickinson University and the University of Maine Law School. He will specialize in the preparation of wills, elder law, probate, estate planning, Medicaid planning and Social Security disability. He replaces Sarah Heck, who recently left the firm after eight years to return to practice law in her home state of Indiana. Miles is the son of Philip Hunt and Susan Hunt.

Hiring mistakes topic of workshop

LEWISTON – Prevent Hiring Mistakes Through Interviewing Techniques is the title of a two-hour program being offered Dec. 2.

This Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce seminar will assist anyone responsible for hiring employees to screen the right people into the selection pool and screen the wrong people out.

The program will include information on screening interviews, exploration interviews and reference checks. Participants will receive a 22-page workbook for continued reference, and will gain the knowledge to put a few new powerful interview questions to work the next time they interview a prospective employee.

Seminar presenter Art Boulay is president and chief talent officer of Strategic Talent Management Inc. in Brunswick. His expertise includes the accurate selection of high- potential talent, top performers and business coaching for businesses throughout the United States. He is a certified professional behavioral analyst, a certified professional values analyst and a certified attribute index analyst.

The seminar takes place from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the chamber office, 415 Lisbon St.
