BARCELONA, Spain – Dr. Timothy J. Pollard, 52, formerly of the Lewiston-Auburn area, died Oct. 30, in Barcelona, Spain.
Tim was a devoted husband, a loving father and a dedicated physician and teacher. He loved music, poetry, Tai chi and cooking for and sharing meals with friends and loved ones. His laughter has now been stilled and will forever be missed.
He challenged the status quo. In his early 20s, he established a medical practice in a then-remote Alaskan town, a decade later he brought his medicine to the African Bush, another decade saw him as the South Pole’s physician and most recently he was working toward living full-time in Costa Rica with Xinia, his wife.
He is survived by his wife, Xinia; his son, Turin; daughter, Aerwen; their mother, Joyce; his parents, Wayne and Dorothy Pollard; his sisters, Cathy, Terri and Toni; his brother, Lloyd; and many friends and colleagues.
