I would like to take this opportunity to say just how much I appreciated the public’s support during my 12 years as a legislator. I am truly blessed for the honor and privilege of representing and serving each of you who lived in the district I represented.
Through the years, I gained many wonderful friends and am pleased that I was able to take part in the legislative process. As a legislator I was able to change policy, which had a positive impact on the lives of my constituents. What an honor that has been and I certainly did not take that responsibility lightly. One of the most important parts of being a legislator was the constituent work, and I have been fortunate with having great staff that helped my constituents weave their way through legislative bureaucracy and red tape.
As I went door to door this year, a few of you asked me to submit legislation on your behalf.
Please call your newly elected state representative or state senator and perhaps they will oblige.
I would like to extend warm Thanksgiving greetings and a holiday season to everyone. Even though times are difficult for many, I hope that you will still count your blessings on Thanksgiving Day. Remember, because we live in the United States of America, we still have our freedoms and for that alone we should be thankful.
Sen. Lois Snowe-Mello, Poland
