John and Janet Clements of Carrabassett Valley received minor injuries after the 2001 Ford Ranger pickup John was driving south on Rt. 27 just north of New Vineyard village crashed at about 3 p.m. The vehicle hit an icy slick area in the road, spun around and rolled-over, said State Police Trooper Scott Stevens. The couple was transported to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington by NorthStar Ambulance, he said.

The vehicle was totaled.

This was just one of numerous accidents in the Franklin and Somerset counties after the area was blanketed with snow and icy slush collected on the roads, said Stevens.
