RUMFORD – A Mass of Christian Burial for Michael S. Burns of Dixfield was celebrated Saturday at the Parish of the Holy Savior Church in Rumford with the Rev. Angelo LeVasseur as celebrant. Altar assistant was Bernard Poirier.

Organist was Mark Belanger, and music selections included “Be Not Afraid, Because the Lord Is My Shepherd,” “You Are Mine,” and “On Eagle’s Wings.”

A reading was given by Arthur Meader, the eulogy was given by his sisters, Susan Podzamsky and Sally Mottalini, and a poem was read by a niece, Susanne Podzamsky.

Committal services were conducted by the Rev. Angelo LeVasseur at St. John Cemetery, Rumford. A reception followed in the parish hall of the Parish of the Holy Savior Church. Arrangements were under the care of Meader and Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., Rumford.
