PORTLAND – Robert J. Crawford, 47, of Peru, died Friday, Nov. 28, at Maine Medical Center, Portland.
He was born in Rumford on June 29, 1961, a son of Theodore and Evelyn (Fredericks) Crawford. He graduated from Rumford High School in 1979 and served with the Maine National Guard Reserve.
Robert worked in the Pulp Mill at NewPage Paper Co. in Rumford for more than 25 years.
He was married in Dixfield on June 19, 1993, to Joline Dubord.
He was a wonderful and devoted husband and father. He and his wife enjoyed traveling, the outdoors, riding his Harley, and their dog, Jeddy. He also enjoyed carpentry, and built his home with his wife where they have resided for 22 years. He found much pleasure in creating projects and playing with his tractor.
He is survived by his wife of Peru. Other survivors include daughters, Monique Crawford of Peru, and Andrea Curtis and her three daughters of Hermon; his mother, Evelyn Crawford of Rumford; a brother, Richard Crawford and wife, Denise of Rumford; stepsisters, Marcia Gaillardet of North Carolina, and Karen Crawford-Salisbury of Solon; his wife Joline’s family, including her parents, Joe and Shirley Dubord, of Jay; sisters, Diana Doiron of Chelsea, Darlene Marstaller and husband, Jerry, of Hartford, and Debbie Warren of Livermore Falls; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Theodore Crawford, and stepbrother, Theodore Crawford, Jr.
