SANTA MONICA, Calif. – Thérse Verville, 77, died on Friday, Nov. 21, at her home.
She was born in Québec City, in the Province of Québec, Canada, on Oct. 14, 1931, the daughter of Léonidas H. and Lilliane P. Boutin. She was married at Saints Peter and Paul Church in Lewiston, on June 28, 1952, to Germain W. Verville of Lewiston.
Relocating to Santa Monica in 1952, she worked in the aviation industry from 1954 to 1976, primarily involved in materials packaging and distribution. During this period, she spent seven years at the Douglas Aircraft Co. (to 1961) and six years at Airsupply Company (to 1976).
Born the fifth of six children, she was a dedicated sister, wife and mother. She will be remembered above all for her unwavering devotion to her family, her deep faith, her generosity to others and her love of gardening, especially roses.
She donated her time to those activities she held dear, volunteering at St. Clement’s parish in Santa Monica to support both her childrens’ school activities as well as the church’s operations. Completing 9th grade, she provided the enduring support and encouragement for her childrens’ completion of multiple post-graduate degrees.
She is survived by her son, Marc L. Verville; daughter, Denise T. Perez and her husband, Jose, and grandson, Christopher Perez, of Santa Monica; a sister, Jeannine Bernier and her husband, Normand, of Litchfield; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Germain; her brother, Ronald Boutin; and her sisters, Gloria Hamel, Cecile Lessard and Gertrude Dick.
