GREENVILLE – Ernest Lemont Russell II, 55, of New Gloucester, died in a hunting accident outside Greenville on Nov. 29.

He was born in Portland, on Sept. 30, 1953, son of Robert and Vivian Russell. In 1972, he graduated from Gray-New Gloucester High School. He first worked for Porteous Mitchell and Braun department store for several years. As a business man, he established and was president of Window Reps of Maine.

He married Wendy Mitchell in 1986. He was an avid family man, outdoorsman, martial artist, businessman and staunch republican. In 2003, he built a camp in Greenville and considered it his home away from home.

Surviving are his beloved wife and mother to his children, Wendy Russell of 22 years; four daughters and one son, Melissa May, Kim Russell, Dennis Russell, Jodell Wilkinson and Daphne Russell; five grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kiley and Brayden Russell, Trevor and Allie Pineau; two sisters, Helen Hall and Roberta Catron; and many nieces and nephews.
