AUBURN – Normand D. Dufour, 67, of 87 Manley Road, Auburn, died Saturday, Nov. 29, at his residence after a long illness.
He was born in Lewiston, on Jan. 25, 1941, the son of Willy and Florence (Pepin) Dufour and had been a resident of this community all of his life.
He was known as a “jack-of-all-trades,” and was a self-employed electrician until his retirement. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served from 1959 to 1962.
He was a member of the New Auburn Social Club, the Pastime Club and St. Peter’s Church.
He was an avid outdoorsman, loved motorcycles and cooking. He most of all loved spending time with his family and friends.
He was a caring and fun loving man who cared deeply for his family and friends.
He will be sadly missed by everyone that was close to him.
He is survived by his wife, the former Cheryl Hall, whom he married on May 30, 1970, of Auburn; his mother, Florence Dufour of Lewiston; one son, Ken Dufour and his fiancé, Misty White, and two stepsons, Randy and Jeffrey Hall, all of Lewiston; one granddaughter, Kadyn Dufour of Lewiston; two grandsons, Chad and Ryan Dufour, both of Massachusetts; two stepgranddaughters, Megan and Crystal Jordan, both of Lewiston; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Doris Pelletier of Lewiston; a sister-in-law, Cindy Masse and her two sons, Kevin and Joey Masse, all of Lewiston; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Willy Dufour in 1991; and his brother-in-law, Gene Pelletier.
