FARMINGTON – Bonita Louise (Farnham) Wagner, 61, of Wilton, died Nov. 14 at the Franklin Memorial Hospital, after a long battle with lung and throat cancer.

She was born on Oct. 20, 1947, in McAtam, N.B., Canada, the daughter of Stanley and Estella (Harris) Farnham of Vanceboro.

She was a strong, beautiful, courageous and independent woman right to her last days. She enjoyed all the little things in life. She enjoyed swimming at Norcross Pond, painting things and making them sparkle. As a child, she loved spending time at Spednic Lake in Vanceboro. She could make anything she set her mind to.

Her days in CFB Shilo, Manitoba, Canada, she worked real hard with the base to install the “Block Parent of Canada Program” to help children in trouble and which is still in effect today. She loved driving down the Ridge Road after a good freezing rain. She said it reminded her of a glass forest, with the trees overlapping the road to form a tunnel. The last memory she was able to share was how she loved snowmobiling.

She taught her family that if they believed they could do something, they could. She will always be in the hearts and thoughts of everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Veronica L. Duston of Rumford, Randy H. Farnham of Merdina Beach, Fla., Kim Dunlap of Lyman, Chris G.R. Dunlap of Rockland and Wendy D. Bergeron of Farmington; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Bonnie’s family wishes to thank Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice.
