TURNER – Funeral services for Ronald Herrick were held at The North Turner Presbyterian Church on Saturday. The Rev. Linda Grant officiated. Several of Ronald’s children and a grandson shared stories of remembrance of their time spent with him. Four songs which were special to Ronald were played at the service “Shower the People,” “Man of God,” “Hell Yeah” and “What a Wonderful World.” Committal was held at the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Augusta on Monday with full military honors, the playing of “taps” and the presenting of the U.S. flag to Ronald’s widow, Elizabeth. Mrs. Herrick concluded the service with the reading of a poem sent to her this past weekend from a special person in her family. Deacon Dean Lachance and the Rev. Grant officiated. Pallbearers were Edward Herrick, Gregory Herrick, Tom Herrick, Steve Murray, Nancy O’Brien and Jonathan Murray. Honorary pallbearers were George Hess, Richard Campbell and Jared Murray.
