LEWISTON – A new slate of officers for the Auburn-Lewiston Kiwanis Club has been installed for 2008-09. Larry Lauze and Craig Phillips will continue as treasurer and secretary, respectively, while Julie Gile will serve as president-elect and Mike Meservier as president.
Serving on the board of directors are the officers, as well as Andy Choate, Doug Dwinal, Patti Gagne, Dan Goff and Immediate Past President John Cronin.
The club sponsors Key Clubs at Leavitt, Lewiston and St. Dominic Regional high schools, while continuing to focus on programs benefiting area youth, such as sponsorship of free museum passes available from the Auburn Public Library and Lewiston Public Library and annual scholarships to area high school graduates.
Long-term member Roy Ulrickson, who is retiring from the club, as well as Neokraft Signs, was recognized for his service over the years, as well as his sense of humor.
Outgoing President John Cronin and new President Mike Meservier addressed the club and encouraged members to continue their good works while recruiting new members to continue the club’s mission.
The Auburn-Lewiston Kiwanis Club meets at 12:05 p.m. Wednesdays at the Ramada Inn on Pleasant Street.
