TRENTON, Fla. – Shirley Lachapelle Brushwein of Fanning Springs, Fla., passed away on Nov. 20, at Ayers Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Aug. 28, 1924, to Arthur George Lachapelle and Anna D. Sullivan-Lachapelle in Augusta. She spent her early years in Auburn and Bruinswick, later moving to New Port Richey, Fla. She spent her last years in Fanning Springs, Fla. She worked in the nursing field.

She loved get-togethers with good food, animals and flowers. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her four children, John Jack Brushwein (Candy), Carol A. Tuttrup and Linda Sue Arends, all of New Port Richey, Fla., and William D. Brushwein (Donna) of Peyton, Colo.; her brothers, Gerald Lachapelle and Donald Lachapelle of Auburn; her sister, Leona Petersen of Glendale, Ariz.; four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many friends at the Villas Senior Home Care.
