SOUTH PARIS – Lewis K. Dustin, 62, of Norway died Thursday, Dec. 4, at the Maine Veterans’ Home.
He was born in Norway, on April 12, 1946, the son of Leon and Louise Kimball Dustin. He attended schools in Oxford and Otisfield and graduated from Norway High School. He had been a self-employed mechanic.
He faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army. He married Carlene Bennett on Aug. 2, 1964. He enjoyed fishing and barbecuing; he loved animals and always had dogs. He built custom trikes and worked on motorcycles.
He is survived by his wife of Norway; a son, Lance and his wife, Cathy, of Athol, Mass.; two daughters, Laurie McAllister and her husband, Fred, of North Waterford and Lisa McCann and her husband, Steven, of West Paris; six grandchildren, Ashley, Jake and Katie Dustin, Crystal and Matthew McAllister and Steven McCann; five sisters, Linda and David Foster of Oxford, Lottie Dustin Howes of Leominster, Mass., Lorraine Dustin Perez of Leominster, Mass., Lynn Dustin of Sabattus and Louanne Dustin Hunter of Brunswick; two brothers, Robert of Kentucky, and Curtis.
He was predeceased by his mother; his father; his stepfather, Herbert Libby; and two brothers, Glen and George.
