LEWISTON – Muguette M. Bourget, 85, of 62 Pettingill St., Lewiston, died with her loving family by her side on Thursday, Dec. 4, at St. Mary’s Medical Center.
She was born in Auburn, on Jan. 4, 1923, the daughter of Antonio and Rose Boucher Desmarais. She married Louis R. E. Bourget on Dec. 18, 1944. He passed away on Sept. 12, 1979, after nearly 35 years of marriage.
She was a totally unselfish, loving individual, a wonderful wife, mother, and “Grammy” to everyone who knew her. Always willing to help, she loved doing things for others. She used her many talents to create lovely paintings for various family members. She and her daughter, Louise, lovingly designed and sewed wedding dresses for four of her granddaughters as they laughed and enjoyed many hours of quality time together. Each new great-grandchild received a sweater set or a blanket crocheted by Grammy. She was truly a dear, sweet, devoted mom and gram and she loved the Lord, leaning on Him for strength each day.
Together they raised four children, Louise Canedy and her husband, Paul, of Sabattus, Robert Bourget and his wife, Cyndi, of Litchfield, Arthur Bourget and his wife, Doris, of Lisbon and Jo-Ann Daigle and her husband, Roland, of Lewiston; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lorraine Bouley of Lewiston; and a brother, Raymond Desmarais and his wife, Gil, of Lewiston.
She was predeceased by her husband, Louis; and recently a sister, Jeannette Cote.
She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
