HARRISON – Friends and family of Amanda Flanders will hold a benefit Friday, Dec. 12, at the VFW Hall on Route 35 to raise funds to help cover medical and care expenses for the 35-year-old woman who was paralyzed in an accident on Labor Day.

The event starts at 6 p.m. with a potluck supper and will be followed by a rock concert from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., featuring members of more than 10 area bands, including Lucky Mutt, Red Hush, Krumpus, Razor, Ariel Haze, Led Foot, Suspects, Blake Brothers and A2Z. Tickets, $10, will be available at the door. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and a Chinese auction.

Amanda is originally from Poland. She and her husband, Todd (Oxford Hills High School Class of 1986), live in Waterford with their five children. Amanda has not been able to secure any benefits or assistance for her medical situation.
