CARRABASSETT VALLEY – The wedding of Heather Gilmore and Terence P. Tyler Jr. was held at 4 p.m. Aug. 9 at R.H. Bell Interfaith Chapel at Sugarloaf Mountain. The Rev. Marriott Churchill officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Tyler is the daughter of Michael and Louise Gilmore of Kingfield. Mr. Tyler is the son of Jenny Presby of Avon and Terry Tyler of Strong.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Shannon Gilmore served as honor attendant for her sister, and bridesmaids were Andrea McClure, cousin of the bride, Jeniffer Cooley and Nicole Lane, friends of the bride, and Celena Tyler and Elise Presby, sisters of the bridegroom.
Curtis Tyler was best man for his brother. Ushers were James Beedy and Mahlon Presby, cousins of the bridegroom, and Kael Knapp and Richard Haines, friends of the bridegroom. Finley Alsobrook, son of the matron of honor, was ring bearer.
A reception followed at Ira Mountain in Kingfield, after which the couple traveled to Niagara Falls. They are residing in Sanford.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Mt. Abram High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Maine with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and child development and family relations. She received a master’s degree in school counseling from the University of Southern Maine and is currently employed at Noble High School.
The bridegroom is a 2001 graduate of Mt. Abram High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Maine with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He is employed at Pratt and Whitney.
