RANGELEY – The wedding of Jaime Melcher and Andrew Dion was held at noon on June 7 at the Rangeley Baptist Church. Pastor Gary Pierson officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Dion is the daughter of Ed and Bonnie Melcher of Jay. Mr. Dion is the son of David and Jackie Dion of Livermore.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Julie Dodd, sister of the bridegroom, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Melissa Gilbert, Janna Gilbert and Shelley Livie, all friends of the couple. Alliya Rackliff, friend of the couple, was flower girl.
Serving as best man for his friend was Joel Gilbert. Ushers were Matthew Dion, brother of the bridegroom, Jordan Conant, nephew of the bridegroom, and Jason Richard, cousin of the bridegroom. Tye Rackliff, friend of the couple, was ring bearer.
A reception followed at the Rangeley Inn, after which the couple traveled to old Quebec City. They are residing in Daphne, Ala.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Jay High School and received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education with a concentration in English from the University of Maine at Farmington. She is employed at Books-A-Million and Baldwin County Public Schools.
The bridegroom is a 2002 graduate of Livermore Falls High School and the Maine Maritime Academy with a degree in marine systems engineering. He is employed at the American Bureau of Shipping in Mobile, Ala.
