Recently, a Leonard Pitts column took me back to my days in Sunday school in Lima, Ohio, when I was a child. There, I was taught, and always believed, that God is in each and every one of us if we believe in him; that God is love; and that we should “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

I don’t love people who hurt others, or who cause wars and such.

I believe God exists in every human being who lets him in.

As a child, I was also taught to “Do unto others as you would that they do unto you.”
