BETHEL – Telstar Middle School students will showcase their musical and visual art accomplishments alongside the works of local adult artists at the fourth annual TMS ArtReach.

The purpose is to use artwork to help the community.

The event will include a student art sale, a program of special student performances and a live art auction of works donated by local artists, and 100 percent of the money raised will be donated to the Harvest Hills Animal Shelter in Fryeburg.

The ArtReach event will be held in the Telstar auditorium and cafeteria from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10.

The show will open with the student visual art exhibit and sale, as well as the live auction preview. More than 100 student artworks will be for sale.

The live auction will include several donated artworks, two- and three-dimensional, in a variety of media.

The auction will be held at 6 p.m., followed by an eclectic program of student performances at 6:30.

In case of school or after-school activity cancellation, the event will be held at the same time on Friday, Dec. 19.

The Harvest Hills Animal Shelter is a nonprofit, “no-kill” shelter that accepts neglected, stray and abandoned cats and dogs in western Maine. The goal is to raise as much money as possible to help the organization as it works to prevent animal cruelty and abuse.
