Lewiston – Ronaldo Eugene Couturier, 68, a resident of Park Street, Livermore Falls, died late Friday afternoon at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston following a long illness.

He was born Nov. 4, 1940, in Lewiston, the son of Eugene and Louina (Burnham) Couturier.

He attended schools in Nurenberg, Germany, and Maine. He served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1961. On April 11, 1987, Ron married Ruby Smith of Livermore Falls. He worked for many years selling cars at Emerson Chevrolet in Auburn. He also ran R & R Catering of Livermore Falls and was also the owner of RC Autos in Livermore Falls.

He enjoyed his customers very much. He was a “people person” who always had a smile on his face. Recently he volunteered for Western Maine Transportation driving clients to their appointments.

Family was his top priority and he loved spending time with them.

He loved the beach and anywhere sunny and hot.

He was always working to provide the best for his family. Ron enjoyed traveling, the outdoors and remodeling their home.

He and Ruby shared 25 years together. He was a wonderful and devoted husband and father and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife Ruby, of Livermore Falls; their children, Logan Couturier of Columbia, Md., Dylan Couturier and Angelina Couturier, both of Livermore Falls; his daughters, Rhonda Sheehan and her husband, Tom, of Auburn, N.H., and Nicole Taylor of Las Vegas, Nev.; his sister Clairinda Keselburg and her husband, Chuck, of Tacoma, Wash.; his wife’s family, Lillian Messier of Jay, Lisa Smith of Jay, Marlene Phillips and her husband, Tim, of Wilton, Warren Smith and his wife, Angela, of Livermore Falls; nieces and nephews, Kimberly, Alexa, Tucker and Garret Smith and Chelsae, Savannah and Jaydon Phillips.

He was predeceased by his parents.
