GRAY (AP) – While Portland and Bangor were getting less than an inch of snow on Sunday, some parts of eastern Maine got hit by more than a foot.

According to the National Weather Service, Vanceboro in Washington County received 12.3 inches of snow on Sunday, while Wesley recorded 12 inches.

Grand Falls got 8 inches, while Cherryfield and Topsfield got 7 inches.

At the same time, the weather service says Portland and Bangor each got only 0.6 inches of snow in the latest storm.
