I read the recent Sun Journal article on large families with great interest. The parents of those families obviously considered their responsibilities to their children quite carefully. The article did not mention whether they had considered their responsibilities to the planet and to the society of world inhabitants.

The world is under great strain to sustain the population already present. Global warming is just one example of the way humans have outstripped the carrying capacity of the Earth.

The actions of each person affects the lives of all the others. The more humans there are on the planet, the worse the situation gets.

Two children per family is the stabilization number, as everyone knows. I would suggest that any family that has already been blessed with two blood children should adopt a child (or two, or three, or four) if they want more.

There are already plenty of children on the planet who desperately need loving parents.
