MADISON – Tricia Turner and Ricki Sinclair hit key free throws late in the fourth quarter to lift Dirigo to a 43-38 triumph over Madison in MVC girls’ basketball action Monday.

The Bulldogs (1-1) held a slight lead late in the fourth qaurter behind an impressive 19 points from sophomore forward Ali Russell. But, the Cougars (3-0) managed to stage a come back with four consecutive tosses from the charity stripe by Turner, and another three-of-four from Sinclair.

Jane Hebert recorded a team-high 13 points for Dirigo in the winning effort.
