RUMFORD – A Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph W. Laurinaitis was celebrated Saturday at Parish of the Holy Savior. The Rev. Angelo LeVasseur was the celebrant. George Gionet was the altar server. Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were “Old Rugged Cross,” “Amazing Grace,” “On Eagles Wings” and “Let There Be Peace On Earth.” Readings were done by his daughters-in-law, Rita and Deborah Laurinaitis. The eulogies were given by his grandson, Joseph Laurinaitis and grandson, Raymond Laurinaitis and one written by his granddaughter, Justine Laurinaitis was read by Barbara Smith-Baker. Pallbearers were Joseph Laurinaitis, Raymond Laurinaitis, B.J. Laurinaitis, Josh Mason, Jerry Cote, Bob McPherson, Mark McPherson and Nick Blair. Military honors were provided by the Maine Military Funeral Honors Program. Spring interment will be in St. John Cemetery. A reception followed in the parish hall. Services were under the care of S.G. Thibault Funeral Home.
