Monmouth Academy’s annual Halloween Costume contest had a great turnout this year! Pink haired pop stars and mysterious people in ski masks replaced the students in classes. Vampires and dark angels roamed the halls, and superheroes took the day off from saving the world to show off their spandex wear! We even had a teacher double! Now that confused a lot of kids.
There were three who stood out among all. Three fantastic costumes made us all laugh hysterically or scared the bahjeebies out of us. Coming in third, our well placed bronze winner was none other than Captain America! Fabulously clad in red, white, and blue, he even brought his shield, and we even found out his secret identity, cheers for Steven Brush!
Now, the second place winner was a scary one indeed. Wouldn’t you get a little freaked out if someone was grinning constantly at you, with eyes of evil intent? Bow down for the Joker! Aaron Dallman could not have pulled it off better.
Drum roll please. It is time to announce the ultimate costume of Monmouth Academy’s 2008 Halloween Costume Contest. The gold trophy went to..pause for dramatic effect…Mr. Foyt’s double, played by Chelsea St. Michel. See the resemblance? Mr. Foyt, a beloved English teacher, definitely got a kick out of that! Which one’s the real one?
