LEWISTON – Common Ties Mental Health Services recently honored Diane Whiting of Auburn for her service on behalf of persons who experience a mental illness.

Whiting concluded six years of service on the board of directors of Common Ties, serving three years as its president.

Kenneth Albert, current board president, said, “We are entrusted with important duties to represent the public good and to govern with the highest degree of integrity. We are honored to award you this commemorative chair as a symbol of our gratitude to you, your enduring qualities of leadership and the legacy of excellence you left with us and the inspiration you passed on to the many people we serve.”

Whiting is an educator with Auburn and Lewiston education departments and is a member of the Lewiston-Auburn Alliance for Services to the Homeless.
