LEWISTON – Dorothy V. “Dot” Rogers, 72, of Denmark, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 9, with her children at her side, after a courageous battle with several recent medical challenges

Dot was born in Quincy, Mass., on July 17, 1936, the daughter of Lillian and Millard Schwalm. Shortly after her birth, she was adopted by Alice and George Walsh. She graduated from North Quincy High School in 1954.

Most recently, she was employed at Jimbob’s Variety in Denmark, where she was well-known for her welcoming smile and constant kindness and compassion for others.

She enjoyed her house by the lake, spending time with her family and friends, various crafts, yard sales and numerous other interests. She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, her ever present quick wit, her beautiful bright blue eyes and eternal love for her family.
