LEWISTON – A Mass of Christian Burial was held for Raymond L. Theriault at The Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul with Monsignor Marc Caron officiating. Readings of scripture were done by Diane Fortin, a niece, and Lena Theriault, Ray’s daughter-in-law. Special Intentions were read by Maurice Theriault, a nephew, and the presention of offferings was done by Ray’s grandson, Matthew Theriault and a niece, Rachel St. Pierre. Denis Theriault, a son, Eulogized his father at the conclusion of the Mass.The Lewiston Police and Fire Departments provided escort service for Mr. Theriault’s procession to the cemetery in honor of his service to the city. Committal was held at St. Peter’s Cemetery with full military Honors and the presentation of the American flag to his son Marc Theriault. Monsignor Marc Caron and Brother Irenee Richard O.P. officiated. Pallbearers were his sons, Marc and Denis Theriault, his grandson, Matthew Theriault and his nephews, Paul Theriault, Maurice Theriault, Richard Theriault, Roger Theriault and Paul Landry. A contingent of eight members of the Lewiston Fire Department Honor Guard acted as Honorary Casket Bearers and draped Mr. Theriault’s casket with the American flag before leaving The Basilica.
