LISBON FALLS – Philip W. Sugg Middle School Principal Rick Green announced the first-quarter student achievement awards on Dec. 2. The first of four awards for the year, this quarter honors a sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade student.

Green congratulated Abigail Curtis, Claudia Lemieux and Mina Craig for their outstanding achievements. Students are nominated by their teachers for overall academic standings and various areas of student fellowship and accomplishments.

Abigail Curtis, a sixth-grader, is the daughter of Lisa and Steve Curtis of Lisbon Falls. “Abigail is a very responsible student who is well liked by all her peers. She is not only a student who works hard at maintaining good grades, but participates in activities after school. Abby is an active member of the Student Council, volunteers to work with other students and is a proud Lisbon Junior Volunteer serving our Lisbon community,” said Green.

Claudia Lemieux, a seventh-grade student, is the daughter of Kerry and Jim Lemieux of Lisbon Falls.

Green said, “Claudia loves doing things for others and shows this through her hard work by serving as secretary for Student Council. She is a serious but happy-go-lucky girl who brightens up any room she enters.”

Mina Craig is an eighth-grader and is the daughter of Nancy Craig of Lisbon Falls. “Mina exhibits great work ethics, serves as vice president of Student Council, and always produces quality work and has positive classroom behavior. Mina is an active, reflective learner,” Green said.
