The public is invited to kick up its heels Friday, Dec. 12, at the Lewiston Public Library’s last dance of the year. The band Bustopher Jones will provide live music, performing on fiddle, guitar, banjo, bagpipes and percussion. Caller Cynthia Phinney will be on deck to lead attendees through an evening of traditional New England contra dancing from 8 to 11 p.m. in Callahan Hall. No experience is required; all dances are taught and beginners are welcome. General admission is $5, $2 for students. The library is at 200 Lisbon St. For more information, call 513-3050.
