PERU – Andrew and Kathy Irish of Peru, Calvin Knowles and Diane Dolan of Highland Plantation and Samuel and Valarie Pinkham of North Anson are proud to announce the engagement of their children, Nicole Irish and Dean Knowles.

Miss Irish is a 2003 graduate of Dirigo High School and a 2007 graduate of Thomas College, where she received a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in public accounting. She is currently employed at Dawson, Smith, Purvis and Bassett, PA, of Portland.

Mr. Knowles is a 2003 graduate of Carrabec High School and a 2006 graduate of Eastern Maine Community College, where he received a double associate degree in welding and pipe fabrication. He is currently employed at Phoenix Welding Co. of Portland.

A June 27 wedding is planned.
