STOWE, Vt. – Katie Elizabeth Roy and Peter Merrithew Jewett were married May 31 at the Stowe Community Church in Stowe, Vt. The 3 p.m. ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Bruce Comiskey.

The bride is the daughter of David and Annette Roy of Greene. The bridegroom is the son of Lawrence and Susan Jewett of Leeds.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a taffeta gown featuring a fitted bodice with a sweetheart neckline. A full balloon skirt with pickups was accented with Austrian crystals, bugle beads and sequins. A lace back was complimented by a semi-cathedral train. She carried a ribbon-wrapped bouquet featuring rose, peony, sweet pea, hydrangea, orchids and petite calla with accents of coffee berry.

The maid of honor was Kelly Maskell. Bridesmaids were Rebecca Rocheleau, Anne Cain and Calla Jewett. The best man was Peter Brauhn. Groomsmen were Mikkel Forsthuber, Justin Hart, Jeremy Transue and Tyler Hughes.

An outdoor reception followed at the Mountaineer Inn in Stowe.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of Leavitt Area High School, and received a master’s degree in physical therapy from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn.

The bridegroom attended Leavitt Area High School and Green Mountain Valley School in Waitsfield, Vt., and graduated from Champlain College in Burlington, Vt., with a bachelor’s degree in business management.

The couple honeymooned in St. Lucia and reside in Winooski, Vt.
