LEWISTON – Shirley A. Pierce, 59, died Friday, Dec. 12, at the Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

She was a resident of Jay. Born in Rumford on March 20, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Lillian (Burt) Tyler. She was a graduate of Stephens High School in Rumford. She worked as a housekeeper in nursing homes and was a caregiver for her grandmother.

She was a loving and caring person who loved to socialize. She loved to play Beano and cards.

Survivors include a son, Todd Tyler of Livermore; two sisters, Sandra Farnum and her husband, David, of Bryant Pond and Pamela Soper and her husband, Irvin, of Livermore; three brothers, Richard Tyler of Locke Mills, Tim Tyler and his wife, Mary, of Rumford and John Tyler.
