Hi, and Merry Christmas. I have no fear of offending anyone by writing Merry Christmas. What is there to offend?

I’m celebrating the birth of Jesus, a very holy, pious Jew, who just also happened to be the savior God promised the world, founder of the Catholic church and Christianity.

I’m wishing people his blessings during the 12 days of Christmas celebration, and a happy new year to boot.

Who cares if others think differently of Jesus? It’s what I think and am wishing that is important.

People could turn around and wish me a happy (name your celebration here) and what would I have to be offended about? They would be wishing me good fortune and blessings.

All this “oh, I’m offended” baloney is just that. And it’s a Christmas tree, not a holiday tree. Yes, the tree used to be a pagan symbol, and the Christians turned it into what they considered a holy and viable symbol of new life.

So why are so many people saying they are “offended” by “Merry Christmas,” or the words Christmas tree?

I think more folks need to get their heads on straight.

Merry Christmas to all.
