Lewiston – Laurette C. Aube of 158 Russell St., Lewiston, died Dec. 12, with her family at her side.
She was born in Berlin N.H., a daughter of Joseph Aube and Lucia Lapoihnte. She was a spinner at the Continental Mill.
After the closing of the mill, she went on to work at Ratheon, then finishing her career in housekeeping at Central Maine Medical Center. She was a very devout Catholic, belonging to Saints Peter and Paul Parish for most of her life and for a short time at St. Joseph Parish.
She enjoyed going to watch the Berlin Maroons and L-A Twins.
She was also known for her delicious fudge.
She was a favorite babysitter for her many nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her two sisters, Delores Aube and Therese Myrand; and many, many nieces and nephews; and one close friend, Jeanne Caouette.
She was predeceased by 12 brothers and sisters; and three close friends, Hennerette, Rose and Marieange.
