A time of reflection about a millenium gone awry, with countless tragedies, mismanagement and errors in judgment at local, state, national and world levels, and the ushering of a president faced with an insurmountable mess to clean up (where does he begin?) gave me, with gratefulness, the impetus to take in the Feztival of Lights at the Kora Shrine in Lewiston.
The Shriners and helpers spread warmth, helpfulness and enthusiasm at the finely orchestrated tree show, with voting for favorite trees via raffle tickets and a silent auction (with a beautifuly hand-crafted wooden sled as a fine, apropos item). The Christmas fair was resplendent with wonders in each section.
I’m glad I went, and glad I saw the light.
