OXFORD – Norway native Merri-Beth Bumpus has joined Anne and David Carter at Carter’s X-C Ski Shop & Center, Route 26, as retail shop manager and helping with program development.

Bumpus graduated from the University of Maine in Orono with a double major in history and women’s studies. After graduating, she became general manager and buyer at Epic Sports in Bangor. In 2006, she moved to Vermont to become buyer and a manager of Climb High.

She hopes to start an outdoor club for people who enjoy outdoor activities. She encourages anybody interested in being a part of a club to stop by.
