FARMINGTON – Ruth Anna Wood Hatt Lincoln of Strong, went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, Dec. 13, at Franklin Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her daughter, Rebecca and husband, Leland and her three granddaughters, Denise, Kris and Erica.

She was born to Alfred and Anna Mae (Hoffman) Wood in Farmington on Feb. 18, 1930. She always lived in Maine and graduated from New Sharon High School in 1948. In October 1950, she married Richard Hatt who died in 1989. In June 1991, she married Charles Lincoln.

She lived in Strong from 1950 on and made a home for her three daughters, who survive her. She worked many years at Forster Manufacturing Co. in Strong and retired from there in 1992. She had a generous heart and all who knew her loved her. She was “Mimi” or grandma to six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, as well as other children who were around her.

In her later years, she sold Avon products and made tons of friends selling this product. She was a loving mother to her children and adored her grandchildren. Her great-grandsons were her pride and joy and she spent many a happy hour with them. She was happiest when surrounded by her family. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

In September of this year, she moved to Sandy River Nursing Center to be with her husband, Charles, who survives her.

She is also survived by her three daughters and their spouses, Leland and Rebecca Croteau of Strong, Andrew and Rhonda Puckette of Hampton, Va., and Michael and Rachel Hills of Greenfield, Ind.; her adoring grandchildren, Denise Croteau, Randall Bradbury, Kris Turcotte, Richard Bradbury, Erica Bracy and Sarah Hills; the apples of her eye, her four great-grandsons, Brendan and Caleb Bracy and Dawson and Drake Turcotte; adopted sister, Joan Rideout; and many, many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Richard Hatt; her parents; and by all of her brothers and sisters.

Because of her loving nature she will be missed terribly by those closest to her who loved her unconditionally. We love you. Mimi.
