The Decemberists are a five member band from Portland, Oregon. The band got together in 2000 and are still together. They produce an original indie, folk rock sound that often includes instruments like the accordion, an upright bass, and organs. The Decemberists are signed to Capital Records, and have released four full albums and six EP’s. Their most recent record, titled “The Crane Wife,” was released in 2006. It is a 10 track album that includes two of their singles “O, Valencia” and “The Perfect Crime 42.” This band provides a nice, relaxing sound that I would recommend to anyone.
