CANTON – Donald M. Keough, 81, a resident of Auburn, died Sunday, Dec. 14, at the Victorian Villa after a period of failing health.
He was born in Lewiston, July 29, 1927, the son of Merle and Mildred (Sawyer) Keough. He was a longtime member of East Auburn Baptist Church and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He had been employed in the local shoe industry until his retirement.
He was also a member of Amvets Post 6. His hobbies included reading, watching Westerns, going out to eat, and visiting family. His favorite hobby was riding motorcycles, and he was a proud owner of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
Survivors include three sisters, Margaret Stevens and husband, Bradford, of Auburn, Shirley Higgins and her husband, Richard, and Carolyn Turcotte and her husband, Michael, all of Hartford; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Virginia, in 1996; and one brother, Arthur, in 1982.
