I think going to school and getting an education really matters. Getting an education should be students’ first priority. They should really care about getting good grades so that they can get into a good college.

I feel like there should be more students who are passionate about their education in this world. They should feel this way about their education because if they are willing to learn and increase their knowledge base, they can get any job or career that they would like to have. They can gain a sense of class and accomplishment. Students who choose to get an education and finish high school are more likely to go to college. Statistics show that the best way to make money in life is through education. On average, those who have less than a 9th grade education make $18,935, high school dropouts make $22,463, high school graduates make $29,195, those with some college make $35,370, workers with an associates degree earn $35,590, those with a bachelor’s degree earn $53,103, workers with a master’s degree earn $60,726, those with a doctorate make $89,638, and those with a professional degree make $113,659. It’s your ticket to a much broader range of opportunities in life. The power of education is that it gives you the opportunity to change your life.

I also feel like too many students are not taking their education seriously and think that school is a joke and a place to just have fun and not do any work. For example, I see students in the halls saying school is boring, stupid, and not for them. I think there could be a way to show kids that school can be a fun and exciting place to go. Teachers could do some comedy to cheer the students up so that they won’t get bored in class. The teachers can also plan activities that are still relevant to the topic the teacher is explaining, but with some enthusiasm.

I think all students should make getting their education an important part of their lives. The students who take their education very seriously and work hard to become somebody will later have rewards and fulfill their goals in life. Those who don’t care about their education and building their sense of knowledge will later feel bad about themselves and regret their decisions.
