Here we go again. Congress has nothing else to do but to make sure that every cent people have will be taken away from them today, next week, next month, next year, next generation.

The first bailout went so well that they might as well do it again.

I have nothing against someone making a good living. It is the American dream to work your way to the top and earn a good, decent wage. A good CEO has the right to make whatever his company and the board agree to pay him. The autoworkers have the right to make what the union has helped them to get for pay and benefits. That is called capitalism.

What I do object to is that if the bailout of the auto industry goes through, I, and all other taxpayers will be asked to subsidize the salaries of the CEOs and every autoworker.

That is called socialism.

Money should not be taken from one sector of the population and given to another. The airlines filed for bankruptcy and some went under; some failed. That, again, is capitalism.

Representatives in Washington need to be told how the public feels about the bailouts. Maybe there are people who agree that money should be taken from the taxpayers and given to those looking for a bailout. People still have the freedom (for now) to express their thoughts.
