On Saturday, November 22, Trinity Catholic School hosted their annual Holiday Festival. The Festival consisted of games, sale of baked goods, arts and crafts, and a gingerbread house competition.

The gingerbread house contest was an especially big hit. Children of all ages could enter the competition to win $50 in cash. Seven houses were entered in all. First place winner was created by Trinity 8th graders: Kim Morin, Katie Emery, Eric Link, Billy Soper, Dakota Keene, Myia Linck, and Melissa Murray. Taking 2nd place was Isaac Poliquin, an elementary student at Trinity. Placing 3rd was a house built by Trinity 8th graders: Jordan Charest, Nick Hatfield, and Conor Moreau. I was able to talk with one of the winners, Katie Emery. When I asked her how it felt to win the competition, she replied, “It was awesome; we worked really hard on the gingerbread house. It felt good to win.” The cash prizes won by the eighth graders have been donated to their fund for end-of-the-year 8th grade activities.

The Holiday Festival was a great fundraiser for our school. It was also a fun time enjoyed by all.
