LEWISTON – The third-annual Lewiston High School Shannon Fortier Alumni Meet will be held Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008 at the YWCA in Lewiston. Warm-ups for the Alumni Team will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Fortier was a member of the Lewiston High School Swim Team. She tragically passed away in a June 2006 plane crash.

‘Y’ presents homeschool program

AUBURN – Auburn-Lewiston YMCA is pleased to announce its second session of Homeschool Sports.

The program starts Jan. 5 and runs until April 20, with no class Jan. 19. The program is Mondays from 1 to 2 p.m. in the ‘Y’ gym. Cost is $55 for members and $65 for nonmembers, with a $10 discount for additional children. Each child will receive a homeschool sports t-shirt. AUBURN – Auburn-Lewiston YMCA is proud to announce the creation of a new youth basketball program, YMCA Rookies. Boys and girls in kindergarten and the first grade who have completed the ‘Y’ Skills & Drills Program are eligible to participate in YMCA Rookies.

The YMCA Rookies program is a 6-week program designed to get your son or daughter ready for our Pee Wee Division in the Co-Ed Basketball League. Each child will be placed on a team based on skill level to create balanced teams. Each will receive a t-shirt to wear during their games.
