LEWISTON – Yvette G. Quirion of Lewiston, passed away on Dec. 16.

She was born on May 18, 1920, in St. Marc De Carriers, Quebec, the daughter of Francis and Jean Perron Arcand. She grew up in the St. Marc De Carriers area and attended Canadian schools.

On June 29, 1946, she married Lionel Quirion and they started a family. During that time, she worked in area shoe shops before retiring from Dori Shoe in 1985. She loved her large family gatherings and always loved to entertain with a song.

She will be missed by a son, Andre Quirion of Auburn; “one of eleven,” four brothers and sisters; Therese Bedard, Cecile Dufrensne, Rene Arcand and Jeanine Maud; and a granddaughter, Adrea Quirion.

She was predeceased by her husband, Lionel in 1989.

She remained loving and always playful and made everyone smile and laugh.

Yvette’s son wishes to send a sincere thank-you to 3 West and 3 East at d’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston.
