The gifts were showcased during the chamber’s Business After Hours on Thursday evening at Lost Valley, where chamber members were encouraged to bring more toys for area needy children. “Our hope was to get over 1,300 – to have each member bring a toy- and it feels like a lot more this year, and we had a 1,000 last year,” said Mogensen, membership coordinator at the chamber. “It’s nice to see people giving in this economy.” After the meeting, the toys were distributed to three local agencies, which will give them to kids.
